Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in India
Indian government has given permission to setup 83 SEZ and already work is underway in most of the zones.
This is going to be very similar to China's Shenzhen and Guanzhou.
The good thing about Shenzhen is it generates more revenue from exports than total revenue generated by few big countries in the world (this was mentioned in an article that I read so I wouldn't bet on this) but, I have followed China's $ reserve growth from 2001 and from what I noticed it has been doubling and tripling year after year and it has exceed $1 trillion.
The bad thing about Shenzhen is the beautiful landscapes were destroyed to give way to the Concrete steel structures (or jungles).
And the fact is the growth in these SEZ's will saturate soon. And the entire world will looking towards India for technological innovation and exports.
